Become a Backyard Tourist- explore wonders in your own “backyard.” Connect with nature, learn about local history, join a book club, develop a new skill, volunteer for a program, attend a music venue, purchase art or fresh fruit from the Market.There are so many things to do right where you live and work. Collegedale residents have accessibility to a wide range of recreational activities, parks, economic development/jobs, outdoor interests, family-friendly programming, educational opportunities, music and cultural entertainment, shopping, restaurants, and healthy lifestyle choices. Collegedale is surrounded by natural resources and tourism destinations. It is located in one of the fastest growing areas of Hamilton County and ranks 3rd in the state for safest communities. The Parks & Recreation department serves to support an active lifestyle and learning environment with various recreational avenues and resources for its residents. The resources listed below are not inclusive and only serve to offer residents ideas to be your own backyard tourist. Locals with special skill sets and knowledge are encouraged to fill out a VOLUNTEER application. We love for residents to share hobbies, specific expertise, and interests with one another! Individuals who would enjoy assisting in the Parks & Recreation department Volunteer Program for special events and activities are encouraged to apply. Volunteer Program service is on an as-needed basis.

Collegedale Municipal Airport:
Besides accommodations for business, charter, and corporate operations, the Airport includes flight training, aircraft maintenance, and sport aviation.
Collegedale Library + Learning Center:
Visit the library for books, movies, educational materials, clubs, summer reading program, children’s programming, teen and adult activities, and special events.
